A short walk or ferry trip from Teignmouth
South side of the Teign Estuary
One of the beauties of Teignmouth is that it overlooks the picturesque town of Shaldon.
Unfortunately Shaldon does overlook Teignmouth docks which are not so nice but it is a lovely place for a holiday.
The oldest working ferry in England
A short walk or ferry trip from Teignmouth. Apparently the ferry is the oldest one still working. This one shown is not it so you'll have to visit to see it.
Gorgeous soft sand and a really village feel.
Smuggler's tunnel to the beach
Children young and old will love the old smugglers's tunnel you can walk through to get to labrador bay.
Labrador Bay, the original
Although the one state side is more famous this was the orginal that gave it its name.
Pubs and restaurants
Shaldon has more than its fair share of good pubs and restaurants
