Easy to reach south or north Devon including Exeter, Plymouth, Dartmoor On leaving the apartment, turn right to the bottom of The Yannons, then proceed to the Exeter Road by turning left and walking though the pedestrian exit. Proceed down hill until you reach the pedestrian bridge, cross the road and continue down the hill taking the quieter Exeter Street to your left. At the end of the road continue downhill and cross the main road (you should see the fire station at this point). Continue downhill, bearing right. This road (Orchard Gardens) leads straight into the town centre and sea front. When you leave the apartment, turn to the bottom of The Yannons, then proceed to the Exeter Road by turning left and walking through the pedestrian exit. Continue down the hill, past the pedestrian bridge until you reach the pedestrian crossing. When you reach this do not cross but turn right and continue walking for about 10/15 minutes past the One Stop store until you reach a turn-off to Shaldon bridge on the left. Turn down this road and walk across the bridge until you reach Shaldon. You can get to the ferry (which runs approximately every 20 minutes) by following the directions to the front beach and then continuing around the beach towards your right (when you are facing the sea), until reaching the back beach. The ferry boat leaves from here and it will take you to Shaldon (and back). |
