Don't miss the gold fish pond. Once a busy quarry it is now the home of unloved and rejected gold fish. It seems people have been leaving their fish in this pond for many years and if you look for long enough you should see them swimming about.
Easy climbing for kids
Haytor is very popular with children. There are steps carved in the rock so it's not too difficult or dangerous to get to the top where they generally feel like they've concurred Everest.
